Product detailed description
The SAMURA PRO-S LUNAR collection captures the beauty and roughness of the lunar surface. Damascus steel blades with a unique forged texture resemble the irregular grooves and craters that are typical of the surface of our celestial counterpart. The G-10 handle, made of laminated glass cloth encased in epoxy resin, was designed to resist moisture while reinforcing the overall structure of the knife. Samura Santoku: The Japanese term "Santoku" means "three virtues" or "three ways" - referring to the three main functions of the knife: slicing, chopping and slicing. The Santoku knife is therefore a versatile kitchen tool that will be appreciated by anyone who needs to master different types of kitchen tasks. Unlike the traditional European chef's knife, the Santoku knife has a shorter blade and often a higher profile, allowing for easier handling and greater control when slicing food.

At Samura, they are guided by a clear vision: to achieve the ideal combination of traditional Japanese craftsmanship, European permanence and unique creativity.
Samura began in 2003 as a family business led by founder, renowned designer and engineer Alex Yakovlev, who still hand-sketches every concept. Obsessed with precision, Alex invests countless hours to ensure that everything that bears the Samura name guarantees customers unparalleled quality, consistent sharpness and a unique aesthetic. And while the company has blossomed into a major market force, it's still run like a family business: ninety percent of the manufacturing process is done by hand.
Where other manufacturers are cutting costs, Samura believes that higher caliber requires more investment. That's why Samura knives are made from the finest Japanese and Swedish steel, hardened to 58-61 HRC. The knives are then ground to a unique 17 degree angle and many series undergo hand convex grinding. Although this is a much more costly and time-consuming process, the manufacturer wants the knives to cut perfectly. Samura was also the first brand to introduce mass production "stonewash", which gives each blade a non-stick surface that ensures easy cutting.
All handles are made from high quality materials and each Samura knife is hand sharpened on a whetstone before packaging.
Our motto: the customer is simply our audience and we strive for an ovation. We compete only with ourselves and our insatiable desire to find the perfect knife for your established, successful, or even budding culinary interests. We invite you to explore our top knives.
