Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Leatherman Rebar offers 17 precision-crafted tools in a compact body measuring just 10cm in length. The design uses high-strength, wear-resistant steel to ensure a long service life even with frequent and intensive use. Inspiration from the brand's first multi-tool from 1983 is reflected in the robust, purposeful design with modernised features. Ergonomically shaped handles with contouring ensure a firm grip even when wearing gloves or in wet conditions, which will be appreciated by technicians in the field and DIYers alike.

Each tool in the multitool body has its own locking mechanism that allows you to apply a lot of pressure without the risk of unintentional tipping. This mechanism greatly increases safety when working with a saw, knife or cutter. Despite its light weight and slim profile, the Rebar offers functions such as pliers with interchangeable blades, wire cutters, a needle, various types of screwdrivers, openers, a file and a ruler. The precision fit of the individual parts contributes to the smooth operation of all functions.

The model is available in Burnt Sienna, Mossy Slate and Heathered Cranberry, with each option being complemented by a durable nylon case in the same shade. The Rebar is not just a tool, but a design accessory ready for everyday challenges in the workshop, on the construction site and on outdoor expeditions.

Leatherman - the idea was conceived in Tim Leatherman's head, he was travelling around the world and thinking of an easy way to take a set of tools with him. His knives are made of stainless steel and are mostly pliers based with various pulling tools including screwdrivers, files, saws and more.
Since 1983, LEATHERMAN has been making multitools that are very durable and made for the job. When Tim Leatherman and his business partner Steve Berliner founded the Pocket Survival (PST) multitool company, they had no idea that they would one day be producing more than 30 models in a 90,000-square-foot factory with more than 400 employees.

Oregon native Tim Leatherman graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University in 1970. After that, he held a number of jobs, including positions as an English teacher and helicopter mechanic. His time spent traveling abroad was eventually spent inventing the concept of a new universal tool. From the beginning, the company has been founded on a simple philosophy: to manufacture and deliver on time, to fulfill customer requests and listen to their needs, to increase the efficiency of multitools, and to provide a pleasant environment for its employees. Although Tim is now retired, he still visits the factory at least once a month and both he and Steve play a key role in the direction the company is taking. Tim still makes many visits around the world to keep an eye on the distribution network.
