The Leatherman MUT is the civilian version of the military multitool that has quickly become indispensable equipment not only for civilian shooters, but also for professionals in the armed forces.
Weighing in at over 317 grams, this multitool conceals a total of 16 tools in its rugged steel construction. In addition to the classic multi-tool pliers, it also offers steel wire rope pliers with interchangeable blades and electrician's crimping pliers. Other useful tools include a knife with combined blade made of 420HC steel and a saw. At the end of the tool is a massive hammer, under which is a hidden V-shaped cutting hook, ideal for quick and easy strap cutting.
But the Leatherman MUT's main trump card is its special tools designed for firearms maintenance. These include a tool for jammed cartridge cases, a carbon scraper (made of bronze to prevent damage to gun parts), a cleaning brush adapter, a gun disassembly tool, and a large bit adapter. All of these tools are designed to easily handle the maintenance of any military or civilian firearm. In addition, the Leatherman MUT can be further upgraded by adding additional components such as spare bits that can be stored in the handy carrying case that is included.

Leatherman - the idea was conceived in Tim Leatherman's head, he was travelling around the world and thinking of an easy way to take a set of tools with him. His knives are made of stainless steel and are mostly pliers based with various pulling tools including screwdrivers, files, saws and more.
Since 1983, LEATHERMAN has been making multitools that are very durable and made for the job. When Tim Leatherman and his business partner Steve Berliner founded the Pocket Survival (PST) multitool company, they had no idea that they would one day be producing more than 30 models in a 90,000-square-foot factory with more than 400 employees.
Oregon native Tim Leatherman graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University in 1970. After that, he held a number of jobs, including positions as an English teacher and helicopter mechanic. His time spent traveling abroad was eventually spent inventing the concept of a new universal tool.From the beginning, the company has been founded on a simple philosophy: to manufacture and deliver on time, to fulfill customer requests and listen to their needs, to increase the efficiency of multitools, and to provide a pleasant environment for its employees. Although Tim is now retired, he still visits the factory at least once a month and both he and Steve play a key role in the direction the company is taking. Tim still makes many visits around the world to keep an eye on the distribution network.
