Cold Steel Chinese Sword Breaker

Product detailed description
The Stararocin swordbreaker had a rectangular (sometimes hollow-cut) cross-section with sharp corners, allowing it to aim a blow with maximum impact. Such a strike could at least knock the opponent's blade aside or "dislodge" it so much that timely recovery of the defence was virtually impossible. In the extreme, he could live up to his name and break, bend, or disable ordinary swords and many other weapons with a single blow! We at Cold Steel were inspired in our design by the original antique Sword Breaker, which we had the privilege of holding and studying in China. Our hilt is made of heavy, dense rosewood with a grooved cross section that allows for a good grip. It features beautifully cast nickel-silver fittings, from the decoratively elaborate circular guard to the very solid five-inch pommel, which effectively balances the weight of the blade and makes it easier to hold. Our Sword Breaker has a traditional rectangular cross-section and hollow ground "shoulders" and comes with a rosewood scabbard.
