This katana from the Renshu series features a 5160 hardened carbon steel blade in the Shinogi Zukuri style with bo-hi to balance and lighten the sword. The Hanwei Renshu line of samurai swords combines the sturdy spring hardened 5160 carbon steel blades with the economical handle forging of the Practical series. This combination creates an affordable sword that stands up well to chopping practice without the worry of damaging an expensive sword.
