Product detailed description
Ten-Ryu Reverse Katana SW-333DX is the ultimate accurate and cost-effective, authentic, handcrafted replica of the katana from the legend of Rurouni Kenshui - The Wandering Samurai (the Sakabat? symbolizes Kenshin's oath to kill no more). Primarily, the Sakabató blade was created because of the Emperor's ban on personal duels to the death. Thus, in practice (and personal) duels with these swords, warriors would have had sufficient practice fighting with a real sword, and in the event of a serious threat, they would still carry a weapon capable of killing a potential aggressor as with a conventional sword.
This is a reverse-bladed katana (Sakabató), where the striking outer side is blunt and is intended to serve more to stun an opponent. The blade is on the inside of the arc. The katana is hand forged 1045 carbon steel.
