Mijamoto Musashi, the 15th century author of the Book of Five Circles, was also a samurai, an expert and teacher of Japanese swordsmanship, and a painter. Musashi's katana has a black iron tsuba of his design. The full blade is made of 7mm carbon steel. Black lacquered wooden saya (scabbard) with a mottled finish. The tsuka (handle) has genuine stingray skin wrapped with black cord. To keep this decorative katana in perfect condition, a cleaning kit and sword bag are included. This collectible katana pairs well with the Ten Ryu Musashi Wakizashi TR005 sword.
