Ivanhoe is perhaps Sir Walter Scott's most famous novel. The story is set during the return of King Richard the Lionheart from the Third Crusade, and it was the period of the late 12th century that inspired the Spanish maker of this richly decorated sword with beautiful ornaments appropriate to the decorative elements of the time.
This is not a functional sword, it is for decorative purposes only.
