Product detailed description
A replica of a ceremonial Templar sword with a beautifully detailed and powerful hilt. The Poor Knights of Christ and Solomon's Temple, or Templars, were Christian knights who formed an order to protect pilgrims to the Holy Sepulchre between the port of Jaffa and Jerusalem.
Over the years, this poor order developed into one of the most powerful and wealthy chivalric orders in Europe, thus displeasing a number of monarchs, and especially in France, the Templars were severely cracked down on by the King, with arrests, torture and burning of knights taking place over a period of several years, and unfortunately, the order virtually disappeared in Europe, with only a few castles in Scotland, Spain and Portugal remaining until the modern ecclesiastical reformations.
This is not a functional sword, it is for decorative purposes only.
Overall length: 112 cm
Unsharpened blade 82 cm long
Blade material: 440 stainless steel, hardened and tempered (47-51 HRC)
Handle made of high-quality alloy with Templar decoration
