Product detailed description
A classic Romanesque broadsword used by both knights and common troops. These swords were not usually decorated in any way, they are characterized by a straight double-edged blade (uncut in this replica) and a central axis forged in a groove, which gave rise to the modern myth that it was intended to serve for better blood drainage, which is not true, it served to strengthen the blade in the bend, swordsmen forged it to use it to strengthen the sword in length and expand it to the desired shape.
It is not a functional sword, it is for decorative purposes only.
Total length: 100 cm
Unsharpened blade 76 cm long
Blade material: 440 stainless steel, hardened and tempered (47-51 HRC), satin finish
