Product detailed description
In Africa, the Sjambok (Sham-Bawk) whip is used as a riding aid as well as an effective self-defense tool. It has become a useful tool when herding cattle or defending against poisonous snakes! It is a very old African weapon that was originally made from a single piece of hippo skin. Light, fast and flexible, these are the characteristics of the Sjambok whip. You don't need much training to wield it effectively. Our synthetic polymer version of the classic Sjambok is made by injection molding and features a soft comfort Kray-Ex handle layer that has a form reminiscent of braided leather. Due to the materials used, the Sjambok is able to withstand severe weather conditions that would cause serious damage to a leather Sjambok, such as breaking, cracking or mold infestation.
