H1 Steel
H1
(0.15% Carbon (C), 15% Chromium (Cr), 1% Molybdenum (Mo), 7% Nickel (Ni), 2% Manganese (Mn), 4% Silicon (Si), 0.1% Nitrogen (N)) Highly corrosion resistant steel, designed for use in aggressive salt water environments. Specially wound steel that is almost corrosion immune. However, it depends on the finish of the blade. Allows precipitation hardening (ageing). Japan / Myodo Metal Company
H2 (successor of H1 steel)
(0.09% Carbon (C), 13.73% Chromium (Cr), 2.24% Molybdenum (Mo), 8.25% Nickel (Ni), 0.32% Manganese (Mn), 2.63% Silicon (Si), 0.06% Nitrogen (N), 0.17% Copper (Cu)) Highly corrosion resistant steel, made for use in aggressive saltwater environments. Specially wound steel that is almost corrosion immune. However, it depends on the finish of the blade. Japan / Myodo Metal Company
