The grinding stone is made of artificial corundum, one of the hardest minerals in the world, and is combined in the most widely used 600 and 2000 grits. This type of whetstone diminishes much more slowly than conventional waterstones, and there is no need to soak it in water before use (just splash it with water).
A combination of oversized fine whetstones for standard knife finishing. 600 grit on one side, 2000 grit on the other. Suitable for effective sharpening of common types of knives (kitchen, closing, fixed blade knife) which will sharpen well.
The stone is supplied with a non-slip base for easy sharpening where it does not "run" unnecessarily.
Dip the stone in lukewarm water before sharpening and start sharpening immediately afterwards. For longer grinding, continuously re-dip the grinding wheel.
