The 2000 grit diamond abrasive foil is a highly effective solution for knife edge restoration and maintenance. The fine abrasive texture allows for precise finishing and extreme sharpness with minimal material removal.
The self-adhesive design allows for easy application - simply cut to the desired size and attach to a suitable substrate, such as worn grinding stones or grinding set accessories. Compatibility with sharpening systems such as the Taidea TG1812, TY1811 or Lansky ensures a wide range of applications.
With a size of 14 × 14 cm, the foil can be used not only as a replacement surface for standard grinding sets, but also as a stand-alone grinding plate for manual sharpening. The diamond grain excels in durability and maintains consistent grinding performance throughout use.
For optimum results, it is recommended to grind dry or with water, avoiding the use of oils that may affect the abrasive action of the surface. Due to its fast and efficient material removal, the diamond abrasive foil makes it easy to work with various types of steel, including hard alloys and stainless steel blades. Beware of too much pressure when grinding, the diamond dust will then "disappear" more quickly and the foil will lose its effectiveness.
