This knife feels smaller than most and has no guard (so be careful). The knife can be held close to the blade and in multiple grips. If you like to create with your hands, especially in the woods, you will find this knife indispensable. It has the classic Puukko look, but in a much, much smaller package. The blade is ground to a 90 degree angle for scraping tasks. The well-rounded black canvas micarta handles make the handle comfortable despite its size. The brown leather sheath is set for neck carry at the tip, but also has a loop that fits most belts.
The Mini Tanimboca puukko was designed by Goran Mihajlovic, who also designed the original puukko made by TOPS. Goran is originally from Serbia but grew up in Germany. He has now lived in Colombia for many years. He owns the Tanimboca Nature Reserve, which is home to hundreds, if not thousands, of species of plants, animals and insects. He has been a user and knife enthusiast all his life. In recent years, he started making knives in his forge in the Amazon jungle. He prefers Puukkos knives for their ability to perform a large number of cutting tasks well.
