Product detailed description
The Mini Scandi knife has won the favor of thousands of outdoorsmen, survivalists and bushcrafters thanks to its intuitive and useful design. Everything about it is great. The MSK Rockies Edition forgoes powder coating and replaces it with a dull finish with Cerakote clear coat for corrosion prevention, green Micarta canvas handles, and a brown kydex sheath. Still just as great a neck knife, now with another option.
The Scandi knife, originally designed after the Finnish Sami knife used by the Lapps for all their hunting and bushcraft tasks, was traditionally ground flat, single or double sided, with a "zero" edge. The Mini Scandi knife was based on the very popular, original Brothers of Bushcraft knife (BROS-01). Leo Espinoza, who designed the Mini Scandi, thought that a good idea is still a good idea in a smaller package. The Scandi in a neck knife/small sheath that fits in a pocket or backpack.
