The Hornero was designed by Tomás Reynoso of Argentina and we named the knife after his country's national bird. He has extensive experience in wilderness activities and survival as a student and teacher. Since many years he has a passion for knives, which has developed into his modification and he even started making them in his spare time. The Hornero is a simple but very effective EDC design that you will be happy to own.
Most cutting tasks can be done with a 3.5" blade or shorter. Usually, however, smaller blades also come with smaller handles. While this is great in terms of the overall size and carryability of the knife, sometimes a smaller blade with a larger handle is an advantage, especially if you will be using it for extended periods of time in the outdoors. That's where the Hornero knife comes in. The handle may only be 3" long, but it fills the hand nicely thanks to Micarta's contoured blend of brown and black canvas. The sheepsfoot-like blade is made of 1095 material with the famous TOPS differential heat treatment and black powder coat finish. The included black kydex sheath also has a kydex belt loop that allows the knife to comfortably fit a belt or strap up to 2" wide, so you can easily carry this knife all day, every day.
