The Fieldcraft Knife is the culmination of knowledge that combines the experience of BOB (The Brothers of Bushcraft) from the vast and humid rainforests, arid and scorpion-lit deserts and frigid Nordic lands that span the American continent.
It is thus a compact but eminently usable knife. The blade of this Fieldcraft knife has been made from 154CM stainless steel. The blade has a modified Scandinavian grind that is very effective for carving, skinning, and other general woods work. The 56-58 Rockwell hardness makes it easy to sharpen the knife, that is if you can dull the blade at all, as the hardness and blade geometry work well together to create a long lasting edge.
As one of the most ergonomic handles on the market, the handle has several useful extras.
Although knives with many fads often end up underperforming, the additional features found on a Fieldcraft knife have been selected based on experience and critically evaluated at every step of design, development and production. Because the handle is made of Micarta, it has a secure grip and functional features for starting fires with a bow and the like.
On the exposed pommel you'll find a scraper specifically designed by one of The Brothers of Bushcraft to safely and effectively strike flint.
The sheath of the knife has been made from strong and durable kydex with a steel belt clip, this arrangement allows for a safe, secure and comfortable carry on both the belt and backpack strap.

In late 1998, the TOPS Knives brand was founded with the goal of creating some of the highest quality knives on the market.
