The TOPS Backup was designed specifically to be carried with the Hammer Hawk knife, but will work great as a backup to any larger knife. Many of the cutting tasks people encounter in practice can be accomplished with short-bladed knives. So when a tomahawk is too big, there's the TOPS Backup to handle it.
The blade is just over two inches long and continuously curved along its length, which helps with skinning small animals, gluing feathers, and other small camp tasks. The Kydex sheath is minimal, as is the knife, for a super low profile and lightweight carry.
