The numbered edition of the Mikov REPETITOR knife commemorates the participation of Czech soldiers in the Balkans in the UNPROFOR, UNCRO, IFOR and SFOR missions since 1992. The REPETITOR bears the name of the checkpoint T 23 - Repetitor, where two Czech soldiers - Luděk Zeman and Petr Valeš - were killed in August 1995 while performing UNPROFOR tasks.

The fifth of August 1995 is still considered one of the saddest days in the history of the Czech army. On that fateful Saturday morning, our soldiers, members of the UNPROFOR units, Staff Sergeant Luděk Zeman and Sergeant Petr Valeš, were tragically killed by a mortar shell explosion during a rotation at the Tango 23 - Repetitor observation post guarding the area between Croatia and the then separatist Krajina Srpska.
The Croatian army had already launched a massive operation under the codename Oluja (Czech for Storm) the day before the event, which aimed to offensive on the separatist Serbian territory and occupy as much enemy-held space as possible.
While the front swept across the other observation points rather quickly, Tango 23 remained under fire until the evening, when the firing subsided, but the worst awaited our soldiers in the morning.
During the rotation at the observation post, the first shell exploded that fateful morning, causing fatal wounds to two men and seriously wounding three others.
In the incessant firing, our wounded soldiers had to be transported on foot to safety through the mine-strewn area because the Serb patrol refused to allow a rescue transport with a medic to reach the hit checkpoint, which the Serbs considered, despite the designation of the international UN forces, to be a possible Croatian enemy.
In honour of our brave men, commemorative events are regularly held on the day of this sad event in the birthplaces of the fallen heroes, namely in Hodonín and Rožmital na Šumavě.

The design of the knife is then a certain reminiscence of the famous bayonet for the Model 58 submachine gun. As with the previous project of the Storm knife, this time also the author of the designs mjr. Roman Hippík was inspired by a cool weapon that has been in the arsenal of our army for several decades and is connected with its history. In this case, it is a bayonet for the vz. 58 submachine gun, which almost all those who have passed through the army, whether as soldiers of basic service or soldiers of the profession, have encountered.
The War Veteran project is a joint activity of Mikov and the Military Solidarity Fund. Its aim is to link the memory of the soldiers' heroism with concrete help to those in need. From each REPETITOR knife sold, 300 CZK will be donated to the Military Solidarity Fund
The REPETITOR is an integral knife with red Micarta material inserts.
The knife blade has a central point and is equipped with a lower blade, an upper false blade and relief grooves. Ceracot cobalt material is used to finish the N 690 steel.
The Micarta pads are attached to the knife shank with two Allen screws.
For better handling, the knife is equipped with a one-sided bottom guard and a roughening on the blade spine for thumb support.
The knife's circular base is fitted with a hole for attaching a string and seven flats.
Each knife is marked with maker's marks, manufacturer's marks, serial number and year of manufacture. The markings will be made by laser.
The very lightweight and compact sheath is made of laminated cordura with a plastic insert that locks the knife in the sheath. The handle of the knife is fixed to the suspension strap by two clamping straps with buttons. The entire surface of the sheath is made of the same material used for the production of the army's equipment components. The sheath can be attached to the belt in several ways, as well as to the molle binding. On the lower part of the front face there is a heraldic emblem, which was used on all military equipment of the Czechoslovak Army during the missions in the Balkans.
Each knife package includes the original sheath for the Repetitor knife, a certificate of contribution of 300 CZK to the Military Solidarity Fund, an information brochure about Operation Desert Storm and the Repetitor knife, paracord and a sticker.
