Product detailed description
The Helle Lappland knife pays homage to the traditional knives of northern Scandinavia and is a valuable tool used by the indigenous Sami people for all kinds of purposes. Thanks to its classic design, it has a wide range of applications in everyday life, especially in the nomadic lifestyle of the Sami people, where large knives called Lauku play an important role.
This knife features a 12C27 stainless steel blade that is not laminated and offers a thin profile, making it ideal for efficient slicing. The handle, shaped in a barrel-like profile, is made of birch and complemented with brass elements. This makes it easy to hold and provides a good grip especially for medium to larger hands.
The traditional leather sheath allows the knife to sit securely deep and fastens with a leather strap. This knife is an ideal camping tool and when paired with a smaller classic knife, makes a perfect combination in any tool collection.
The name Lappland refers to the northern region that encompasses the northern parts of Finland, Norway and Sweden, and is a reminder of the rich cultural and craft traditions of this rugged but beautiful territory.

No machine can replace skilled craftsmanship.
Helle knives are made to withstand the pressures and stresses that knives are subjected to during use. Helle maintains its tradition of handcrafted craftsmanship, not subject to automated production and an unnecessarily wide range of models. They believe that the highest quality is achieved through honest hand craftsmanship.
Experienced professionals are proud of the Helle production system. As each piece leaves production, it is checked for up to half an hour, for the sake of certainty that all quality and workmanship requirements of the knife are met.
A Helle knife goes through up to 45 stages of manual operations before finally being inspected and packaged.
