Product detailed description
The Fallkniven Thor Northern Light Series fixed blade offers a high-performance design for camping, hiking and hunting. The laminated blade is made of VG10W steel with tungsten (W) added. In general, the addition of tungsten means that the blade is much stronger and retains its sharpness better. The sides of the blade are made from durable, all stainless steel 420J2. This superior combination of metals combines every conceivable and desirable knife characteristic, including flexibility, torsion resistance and blade durability, all in a single knife. The 7mm thick blade alone would be strong enough for most tasks - thanks to laminate technology, an additional 20% strength in the form of bend resistance can be expected compared to the solid VG10W blade.
The handle consists of specially selected ox hide to provide a secure and sturdy grip. It ages beautifully and acquires an attractive brown patina as the years pass, is unaffected by oil or solvents and is water resistant. Dryness may cause minor cracks on the handle, but these will disappear once the knife is used again.
The package includes a top quality black leather sheath.
