Product detailed description
The one-eyed Odin (or Woden) is considered, along with Thor, the highest-ranking god in the Norse sagas. He was the father of the gods and mankind and rode his eight-legged horse Sleipner. Accompanied by his knowledge-bearers, the two ravens Hugin and Munin, he was the undisputed ruler of Valhalla. Fallkniven Odin is a powerful adaptable knife with a blade made of laminated VG10 steel. No expense has been spared in the Northern Light series to make the knife as strong, beautiful and comfortable as possible. The knife is a joy to look at and a thrill to use.
The blade is made from laminated VG10 steel, with the convex blade made from the famous VG10 steel and the sides made from durable, all stainless 420J2 steel. This combination is a good one because it combines all conceivable and desirable properties such as flexibility, torque resistance and blade durability in a single blade. A 6.5mm thick blade would be strong enough on its own for most tasks - thanks to laminate technology, an additional 20% strength in the form of bend resistance can be expected compared to a conventional VG10 blade.
The handle consists of specially selected ox hide, which provides a secure and sturdy grip. It ages beautifully and acquires an attractive brown patina as the years pass, is unaffected by oil or solvents and is water resistant. Dryness may cause minor cracks on the handle, but these will disappear once the knife is used again.
The package includes a top quality black leather sheath.
