The Extrema Ratio Nimbus was ordered and adopted into the armament of the famous 183rd Regiment Nembo (Airborne), by reworking the well-known model 39-09.
This knife is a celebration of the Battle of Case Grizzano, which took place on 19 April 1945 between the Nembo paratroopers and the German 1^ Fallschirmjäger "Green Devils" Division, a twelve-hour extremely fierce and bloody close-quarters blade-to-blade engagement. Regardless of the fact that the Second World War was coming to an end in a matter of days and a third of the paratroopers were killed on the battlefield, Nembo was victorious in this fierce battle.
The Nimbus is much more than just a model celebrating the events, the knife was developed technically so that it could actually be used for the purposes of the modern combat operator. Special attention has been paid to technical features such as size, shape and kydex sheath so that it can be carried in so many different tactical ways. The tactical blade is lightweight and compact for easy use by the experienced operator.
The Extrema Ratio NIMBUS comes in three versions: the Operativo, Ordinanza and Special Edition.
The Special Edition comes with a wooden handle, satin blade, leather sheath and special leather sheath.
