TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
General description. The knife is robust and solid, suitable for use in crisis situations or their simulations. It is mainly intended for equipping vehicles, aircraft and as back-up security for VIPs. The handle is made of high temperature resistant polymer. It can be disassembled for easier cleaning or to turn into a spike. The product is made of N690 (58HRC) cobalt stainless steel with a Nestudo zirconium nitride finish. Flat ground and hand sharpened and 40mm serrated blade. Cut resistance, cutting accuracy, long term sharpness and mechanical resistance are high. The hardened end of the handle is an effective glass cutter and allows the application of a loop. The sheath, containing TEK-LOK, is fixed in ABS with an automatic knife retention system.

Steel N690 - is a stainless steel that is equivalent to 440C steel. It is actually a trade name for 440C, which is often called Austrian cobalt steell in the German version and is very common in knife making in South Africa. It contains 1.5% extra cobalt. It is manufactured by Bohler Uddenholm (Germany). It holds the blade well and is excellent in corrosion resistance. Both facts and performance ( knife tests) are identical to 440C. The steel has good flexibility and a hardness of 58 to 59 HRC. This cobalt stainless steel has excellent cutting and grinding properties. It is used by Benchmade and Extrema ratio.
