The limited edition Arditi Black knife was produced to celebrate the centenary of Italian military history. This version comes with a black blade and black cordura. Only 1918 pieces were produced in this version.
A special situation arose in the early years of the First World War when soldiers found themselves in increasingly difficult cramped conditions. These situations necessitated the creation of units which, over time, had to improve their close combat skills. Our "Arditi" assault units had their own knife. They made these knives by cutting off the tips of their long "Vetterli" bayonets of 1870, which had been problematic in the past because of their long and unwieldy length. Today, on its centenary, we commemorate this important piece of Italian military history with a celebratory version of only 1,918 pieces. This version comes with a black blade and a black cordury sheath.
