Detailed information

Product detailed description

ESEE Model 6 with a black partially serrated blade and brown kydex sheath. The ESEE-6 knives were designed as wilderness survival and tactical knives with superior cutting performance and a variety of carry options.

Unlike many manufacturers, ESEE knives are field tested with each new prototype before it reaches the production phase. After the first production pieces are made, they are tested again, usually in the jungles of the Peruvian Amazon. Also, many users around the world who test their knives give credit to the durability of the design and the ease of use. When you buy an ESEE, you know you're getting their knife designed and tested by real users, tested in the field.

The ESEE Model 6 comes standard with a molded kydex sheath. Optional holster backs or MOLLE compatible holsters can be ordered. ESEE knives are made with absolute attention to detail, using the finest raw materials and care during the manufacturing process.

High carbon 1095 steel is tough and durable, but not suitable for soldering. However, due to its higher carbon content, it can be subject to corrosion, so the knives are coated with a protective layer that largely prevents this phenomenon. On the other hand, the knife is very light and dexterous with this steel, holds its edge for a long time and is honestly made, so it can be used for almost any job. The serrations on the top of the blade provide excellent thumb support and the comfortable micarta handle does not tire even when held for long periods of time.

Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin have been on a journey to reshape the way survival and wilderness businesses operate. They were frustrated with the endless amount of exaggeration and hype often associated with survival equipment and training, so they founded Randall's Adventure & Training to bring realistic tools and knowledge to the consumer market.
Working under contract with the Peruvian flight school "Escuela De Supervivencia En La Selva" (Jungle Survival School), also known by the acronym ESSEL, they have introduced many clients to the art of survival in the vast Peruvian Amazon jungle.
After a few years in South America, they moved their training to the US and started a sister company to manufacture high quality knives and field equipment - ESEE Knives.
Their first design was the RTAK knife manufactured by the Wicked Knife Company in Arkansas and later produced by the Ontario Knife Company (OKC). They also developed the TOPS knives manufactured by Laser Strike. After spending five years developing the RAT line for OKC, they launched ESEE Knives.
Today, the ESEE brand is known and distributed worldwide. ESEE Knives/Randall's Adventure & Training clientele ranges from special operations personnel, rescue workers, hunters, police officers, border security, film crews, outdoorsmen to professional adventurers. Their courses and equipment have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications.
The company's philosophy is simple: treat the customer with respect, keep prices reasonable, provide the best quality, and never teach a skill or provide equipment that hasn't been tried and tested in the real world.
Every student who walks through the doors of Randall's Adventure & Training leaves with a set of skills that will last a lifetime. Plus, every end user of an ESEE product knows they have the best warranty and customer service in the industry.
In the world of factory knives, survival equipment and wilderness training, ESEE/Randall's Adventure & Training is one of the few companies where all owners and employees live a lifestyle that matches the equipment they make and the training they teach. No suit and tie, just hard fought ground truth that is reflected in some of the best knives, equipment and training in the world.
