After finally deciding to make knives specifically for hunters, ESEE sought the advice and opinions of the best in the business and the Ashley Game Knife (AGK) was designed by Ashley Emerson. As a guide and hunter from Alaska to Africa, Ashley has had the opportunity to deal with hundreds of deer, many wild hogs and other animals from squirrels to bison.
With guns, he used many different knives and modified them to suit his needs, and AGK was born out of his extensive experience handling game in the field.
The length of the blade and handle were optimized for leverage in difficult tasks such as splitting a sternum. The handle includes a guard, a proven handle shape and a radius cord hole large enough for a cord loop.
The grips are made of Micarta, a tough handle material that won't slip even when wet.

Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin have been on a journey to reshape the way survival and wilderness businesses operate. Today, the ESEE brand is known and distributed worldwide. ESEE Knives/Randall's Adventure & Training clientele ranges from special operations personnel, rescue workers, hunters, police officers, border security, film crews, outdoorsmen to professional adventurers. Their courses and equipment have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications.
