Product detailed description
When ESEE finally decided to make knives specifically for hunters, they sought the advice and opinions of the best in the business, and the new Ashley Game Knife (AGK) was designed by Ashley Emerson. As a guide and hunter from Alaska to Africa, Ashley has had the opportunity to deal with hundreds of deer, many other wild hogs and other animals from squirrels to bison. Just as with guns, he used many different knives and modified them to suit his needs, AGK was born out of his extensive experience with game in the field. The length of the blade and handle were optimized for leverage when doing things like splitting a sternum. The handle includes a guard, full tang, proven handle shape and a radius cord hole large enough for a cord loop. The grips are made of Canvas Micarta, a tough handle material that won't slip even when wet. For working knives, he prefers Micarta because when working with game, the grip and feel of the knife is more important than dealing with dirt. As well as the blade which has a black oxide finish, in a stonewash finish.
The knife is a fulltang design, with a lanyard hole, green micarta handle. Brown leather sheath.

Since 1997, Jeff Randall and Mike Perrin have been on a journey to reshape the way survival and wilderness businesses operate. They were frustrated with the endless amount of exaggeration and hype often associated with survival equipment and training, so they founded Randall's Adventure & Training to bring realistic tools and knowledge to the consumer market.
Working under contract with the Peruvian flight school "Escuela De Supervivencia En La Selva" (Jungle Survival School), also known by the acronym ESSEL, they have introduced many clients to the art of survival in the vast Peruvian Amazon jungle.
After a few years in South America, they moved their training to the US and started a sister company to manufacture high quality knives and field equipment - ESEE Knives.
Their first design was the RTAK knife manufactured by the Wicked Knife Company in Arkansas and later produced by the Ontario Knife Company (OKC). They also developed the TOPS knives manufactured by Laser Strike. After spending five years developing the RAT line for OKC, they launched ESEE Knives.
Today, the ESEE brand is known and distributed worldwide. ESEE Knives/Randall's Adventure & Training clientele ranges from special operations personnel, rescue workers, hunters, police officers, border security, film crews, outdoorsmen to professional adventurers. Their courses and equipment have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications.
The company's philosophy is simple: treat the customer with respect, keep prices reasonable, provide the best quality, and never teach a skill or provide equipment that hasn't been tried and tested in the real world.
Every student who walks through the doors of Randall's Adventure & Training leaves with a set of skills that will last a lifetime. Plus, every end user of an ESEE product knows they have the best warranty and customer service in the industry.
In the world of factory knives, survival equipment and wilderness training, ESEE/Randall's Adventure & Training is one of the few companies where all owners and employees live a lifestyle that matches the equipment they make and the training they teach. No suit and tie, just hard fought ground truth that is reflected in some of the best knives, equipment and training in the world.
