Down Under The Walkabout

Product detailed description
Another one that's been long awaited - the perfect companion or just a slightly scaled down alternative to our long-standing flagship Outback. The Walkabout offers all the strength and balance of its bigger brother in a lighter, more comfortable format that's much easier to carry all day, every day. Fans of the original knife will feel right at home with the stacked leather handle, solid brass pommel and guard that enhance the grip. The newly designed solid leather sheath with its enhanced crocodile skin pattern, grind and bone embellishments also perfectly matches the knife's distinctive style.
But it's not just about being a mini Outback - if you can call a 32cm knife a mini anything. The Walkabout is easily one of the most utilitarian hunting/general purpose knives out there, and its classic look and all-natural materials are sure to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, collectors, and anyone just looking for a damn good bowie that does exactly what it's supposed to. We've been regularly asked to produce something like this for a few years now, but decided to take the time and do it right instead of just scaling down the existing design. It's a knife that stands on its own and will happily hold its own against anything in its size class.

The first piece of the Down Under Knives special edition was the now legendary Dundee knife THE OUTBACK™, The Down Under Bowie. It became a hit with users as soon as it was launched, combining the functionality and durability of quality steel with beautiful design and the use of natural materials on both the blade (ebony and other exotic woods) and genuine leather on the sheath and accessories. The leather on the sheath is embossed in a snake pattern and all these elements give the Down Under knives an unadulterated bushman look.
