The name of the knife Kimen comes from the Mapudungun language, which means "to learn".
This tool was created by its designer with the aim of introducing children to bushcraft knowledge and survival skills. Its design is very safe, with a rounded tip and a handle design that prevents forward movement of the hand. It can also be used by adults as a complementary knife.
About the designer
Walter A Matthews is an expert in survival techniques who also served as an officer in the Chilean Marine Corps for over 20 years. In 2005, he founded the first survival school in Chile.
As an instructor, he trained special forces operators in survival techniques. Thanks to his tactical experience, self-sufficiency, bushcraft skills and techniques in different places of the world, he is able to design different types of knives and outdoor tools.
