Cold Steel Jungle Machete is an incredibly durable and effective work tool used for cutting through dense undergrowth. Thanks to its consrtuction, the shape of the handle and the transfer of weight to the tip, the Jungle Machete is better suited to cutting dense undergrowth, brush and even small trees. The blade with Full tang construction is made of 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosive black finish. Steel 1055 is a tool grade carbon steel. The carbon content and low alloy of this shallow hardened steel makes it a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The handle is made of high pressure injection molded polypropylene, making it nearly indestructible. The Jungle Machete is a good companion for survival and being outdoors. The Jungle Machete is sold fully sharpened and therefore comes with a very durable Cor-Ex™ sheath.
