Product detailed description
A knife that is perfectly adapted to the requirements and conditions of any outdoor adventure. The basis for the new development is the Boker Plus Vigtig outdoor and bushcraft knife designed by Dave Wenger, which thanks to its dimensions (overall length: 19.7 cm; blade thickness: 4 mm) not only fits perfectly into e.g. a Nalgene bottle, but is also designed for the most demanding requirements. Magnacut was chosen as the blade steel, which, unlike the tool steels usually used, was developed specifically for knife production. This steel, which has been described as a "miracle steel", has managed to achieve a very fine structure and thus high toughness and resistance to impact loads, despite its high chromium content of 10.7% and impressive hardenability of over 62-63 HRC. Combined with True-Scandi sharpening, the blade's stonewash finish will stand up to any challenge that presents itself, from the fine cutting and carving work of camp building and firewood preparation, to clubbing and chopping, to game handling. The handle grips are made of green canvas micarta and provide a perfect grip even in wet conditions. Also included is a compact kydex sheath in black with clip.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
