Product detailed description

Only a strong headwind will give passion the necessary impetus to rise and grow. From the first sketch to the finished product is a rocky road full of obstacles. Andreas Schweikert knows this path well. This master blacksmith from Talheim in Baden-Württemberg has been making knives by hand since he was a young man. For the Magnum 2024 collection, Boker has succeeded in recruiting this talented cutler from Albu, Swabia, to continue the successful tradition of the annual Magnum knives. The collectible knife, drop-forged and limited to 1999 pieces worldwide, is designed as a compact outdoor knife with an integral design inspired by classic hunting knives. Its 440 droppoint blade with an attractive groove and wider back towards the handle ensures maximum stability. The distinctive bolster resembles the silhouette of a classic hunting knife. The handle made of stabilized curly maple with a distinctive pommel is pleasant to the touch. A rocky road becomes the ideal runway, a headwind a favorable wind, and the Boker Magnum Collection 2024 strikes the perfect balance between show piece and outdoor adventure. The anniversary knife comes in a sleek wooden box with a quality dark brown leather sheath and certificate of authenticity.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
