The Bark River Mini Aurora 3V with Green Canvas Micarta handle is a compact knife designed for maximum maneuverability and reliability in the field. The blade is approximately 94mm long and is made from premium CPM 3V tool steel, which excels in extreme toughness, high burst resistance and excellent edge retention. This steel is optimised for heavy-duty use, copes with rough handling and minimises the risk of chipping or splintering when working with wood.
The blade thickness of around 3.2mm provides an ideal compromise between robustness and fineness of cut, while the gently arched Scandinavian cut transitions into a fine facet, contributing to high cutting control and easy sharpening in field conditions. The satin finish reduces friction and prevents material from sticking to the blade.
The handle made of Green Canvas Micarta, a traditional composite material based on linen fabric and resin, ensures an excellent grip even when wet or wearing gloves. The ergonomic shape of the handle carefully follows the natural curves of the hand, minimizing fatigue during prolonged use. The transition between handle and blade is smooth, reducing the risk of pressure points on the hand.
The knife comes with a precision-crafted natural leather sheath, designed to be worn on the belt. The shaping of the sheath contributes to the secure seating of the knife and easy draw, while the drain hole at the bottom allows moisture to escape, thus extending the life of the sheath and the tool itself.
