(1.34% Carbon (C), 14% Chromium (Cr), 2% Molybdenum (Mo), 3% Vanadium (V), 0.5% Manganese (Mn), 0.5% Silicon (Si), 0.4% Niobium (Nb)). Evolution compared to S35V steel, where toughness is improved, Niobium is added to the steel to produce very fine and hard carbides. It is also less prone to chipping than the aforementioned S30V.
