Due Cigni Coquus Utility Knife
Code: 2C 2101 SORelated products
Product detailed description
The Coquus line is inspired by Due Cigni's Maniago line, which was born in 2013 after the Ambiente trade show in Germany, where the Italian manufacturer saw the Japanese knife line. He particularly liked it and therefore started drawing the shapes of the blade, which was later called the Maniago line. The name was chosen because it was the first collection to be made in the city of knives using the integral bolster technique from a bar on a five-axis CNC lathe.
In 2021, after the Maniago line got off the ground, the manufacturer decided to give it a new life with a more modern, oriental design and create, as it is the case with FOX KNIVES, collectible knives made of noble materials (Coquus Heritage) without compromising functionality for everyday cooking (Coquus Home). Riccardo Gobbato, designer of the FOX brands, immediately understood the direction to take and, after several designs and prototypes created in 3D, he added the first 7 models to the range.
The marketing department then thought of packaging made of eco-friendly and recyclable materials, following the concept of green breakthroughs introduced in the company: photovoltaics to generate energy to move machines, water recirculation, heat pumps replacing gas for heating and the elimination of plastic from all packaging
