Designed for precision maintenance of knife and tool blades, the large combination grinding stone ensures versatile use thanks to its double-sided design. One side with a fine grit of 1500 grit allows for final sharpening of the blade, while the other side with a coarse grit of 400 grit effectively restores damaged or dulled edges. With a larger size than standard sharpeners, it provides stability and comfort when sharpening different types of knives such as kitchen, closing or fixed blades, as well as tools such as chisels or carving tools.
Before starting to sharpen, the stone should be thoroughly immersed in lukewarm water for a few minutes, allowing its porous material to absorb sufficient liquid. This will improve the operation and minimize heating during grinding. For optimum results and to protect the surface of the grinding wheel, continuous wetting during extended periods of work is recommended.
