Zero Tolerance knives are currently one of the best tactical knives on the market. Designers Ken Onion, Strider and Tim Galyean combine with quality materials like CPM-S35V, Böhler N690 and Elmax to create a true American classic. ZT Knives are completely made in the USA.
Zero Tolerance is owned by Kai USA Ltd. The ZT brand first emerged in 2006, when the market saw a place for a line of Made-in-USA knives for heavy-duty use. They would also meet the needs of professionals in the military and law enforcement, as well as other first responders such as firefighters and paramedics.
The brand quickly developed a small but devoted fan base, including those who were not members of the first responders or the military. Whatever walk of life they came from, ZT owners loved the durable design and premium materials. They referred to the knives as "real beasts" and "proudly rebuilt."
Between 2006 and 2008, ZT created a mix of closing knives and fixed blades, including the military-style 0100 knife, the 0500 M.U.D.D. knife and the 0610ST tactical knife.
But it wasn't until 2009 that ZT created the model that became the foundation of the brand: the 0350. This SpeedSafe®-assisted knife was slightly smaller than many of ZT's larger knives, but still had considerable size. Still, the knife struck the perfect balance and helped appeal to a previously untapped audience - those who wanted a hefty knife, but one that was comfortable to carry in their pocket.
This idea carried over into 2010. ZT realized that the brand needed a transition. Although soldiers and first responders were still an important part of the audience, there were many more people who wanted a ZT. The team had a mission: to show this broader audience that if you invest in a premium knife, you'll appreciate its quality and durability.
And so ZT raised the bar.
In 2011, the groundbreaking 0777 model was introduced to the public. This stunning ZT Originals (in-house) design marked the first use of ZT's patented Sub-Frame Lock. Combined with carbon fiber blades, the 0777 is lightweight but retains the strength of a knife with a frame lock.
This limited edition won Knife of the Year at the BLADE Show. Although not many of these were produced, the knife has brought the ZT brand into considerable awareness. Later, ZT created a more affordable, consumer-friendly version, the 0770CF.
Because of its strong reputation, ZT is now known as one of the most trusted premium brands. No matter what type of knife user you are, ZT strives to offer something for everyone. Made in USA
