Product detailed description

When you say France in the knife world, most people immediately and exclusively think of the classic Laguiole knives that are known far beyond the country's borders. Few knife lovers know that almost every French region has its own knife shape, and the famous Laguiole knives are even one of the latest creations. Paradoxically, not even many French people are aware of this fact. These locally made knives are also known as "Les régionaux" (regional knives). L'Alpin is considered one of the best regional pocket knives and was created in the high mountain regions of the French Alps.
Magnum Parzival combines the traditional shape and construction of L'Alpin pocket knives with modern materials and details. The 7Cr17Mov stainless steel blade opens with a classic fingerless opening. The back spring is fitted with an elaborate decorative file that also serves as a thumb rest and thus increases the safety of work. The noble handle is made of olive wood, the characteristic screws are made of stainless steel. The Magnum Parzival is equipped with a lanyard loop with a short leather strap.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
