Detailed information

Product detailed description

Elipt is the result of long-term development of the design department of the Czech company Mikov. The knife is a combination of modern design, high quality materials and technical precision. ELIPT is equipped with a lower pointed blade with a lower cut of D2 steel in stonewash finish. This steel has a higher chromium and carbon content, giving the blade a high wear resistance. Its hardness is 60-63 HRc. The blade is complete with a flipper for quick and safe one-handed opening. On its upper edge there is a relief hole, which facilitates two-handed opening, for example, in gloves. This makes the knife equally usable for right- and left-handed users. The blade is mounted on ball bearings, which guarantee smooth operation while tightening the blade firmly. This prevents unnecessary play and does not interfere with the smooth operation of the opening. The knife is designed with safety in mind.

- the blade is mounted in ball bearings and is made of high quality D2 stainless steel with hardness 63 HRc in stonewash finish
- the blade is made of duralumin with ELOX finish
- the clip can be placed on both sides of the knife
- the knife is equipped with linerlock and thanks to the flipper you can easily open it with one or the other hand
- the cutout on the blade is used for easy opening in gloves.

Mikulášovice, still called "Nixdorf" in the 18th century, is undoubtedly the place where the cutlery industry in Bohemia began. This small border town lies in the northernmost point of the Czech Republic. There were many itinerant knife cutters in the area who were noticed by the merchant Ignaz Rösler and employed in his first knife factory.
Initially, the factory employed 100 workers, but by 1819 the number had doubled. The economic success of this factory led other inhabitants to set up other knife-making enterprises and auxiliary trades, and soon most of the citizens of Mikulášovice and the surrounding villages were connected with knife-making. Mikulášovice came to be known as the 'Czech Solingen'.
