The ejector mechanism is easier to operate than the full-size Ultratech and is ideal for smaller or sensitive hands. The Daytona also features a fully functional glass breaker along with all the features of the full-size Ultratech.

Microtech Knives was founded by Anthony Marfione and Susan Marfione in 1994 in an apartment and later a warehouse in Vero Beach, Florida with a simple goal: To make the best knives possible.
More than twenty-seven years later, now based in Western North Carolina and Bradford, Pennsylvania, Microtech Knives operates with the same mission at the forefront of everything it does. Throughout the evolution, growth and change, and expansion to over 150 employees, their goal remains the same: to exceed the highest possible standards of quality. That legacy and commitment continues with Sean Marfione, who works under the guidance of his father, Anthony.
For years, Microtech Knives has put passion and skill into producing their "works of art" that are the pinnacle of function and form. They continue to push the boundaries and improve on what they know works.
Since their inception, they have been dedicated to producing the finest knives in the world using the most advanced materials and manufacturing processes. The company seeks new horizons in the design and use of OTF, tactical and utility knives. It combines complexity and minimalism into one to appeal to knife enthusiasts and lovers in real-world situations.
It will continue to lead the way in ingenuity and embrace setbacks as well as successes because the goal is perfection. He will never hold back, never stop moving forward and most importantly never compromise.
