LionSTEEL Twain - Blue titanium / Carbon fiber
Code: TWBLCFRelated products
Product detailed description
This knife was LionSTEEL's flagship product at Blade Show Atlanta 2024, where it competed for the prestigious Manufacturing Quality Award. Its design presented a technical challenge. The Twain features a button lock and its unique design utilizes a SOLID® frame ("Double Integral") that is milled from a single piece of material. This processing requires extremely precise milling to ensure that the individual parts fit precisely and provide both functionality and aesthetic perfection.
The blade is made from CPM MagnaCut steel with a satin finish, while the frame is titanium. The blade is precision milled from a single block of carbon fiber, giving the knife both durability and lightness.
Lionsteel aims for continuous innovation and improvement in manufacturing standards, which is why winning the Manufacturing Quality Award for this model was a huge honor for the company.

LionSteel was founded in 1969 in Maniago, where knife making is as traditional as in Solingen, Germany. It was founded by Mr. Gino Pauletta, and was mainly focused on contract manufacturing of knives from other manufacturers. A few years later, the company produced the first knives of its own design, thus creating the LionSTEEL brand. The name of the factory is given by the stone statue of a lion standing in front of the building and the material from which the knives are made.
At the end of the 1990s, the founder's three sons, John Daniel and Maximus, join the work. At that time, the company made a great leap in quality with the introduction of digital machine control.
At this time the company has fifteen employees and sells its products not only in Europe but also in the USA. It focuses on the production of knives of the highest quality. The company's philosophy is to supply knives made exclusively in Italy. None of the knives or their components are made in Asia.
