Product detailed description
The Skinny is a new EDC knife launched in 2024 and is made with SOLID technology in two variants, titanium or aluminium. The frame is created by milling a single solid piece of titanium or aluminum, making the handle an integral solid part of the knife. Titanium handles are enhanced with carbon fibre inserts, while aluminium handles are enhanced with Micarta inserts in different variations.
The Skinny is very light and strong and fits very well in your pocket. It features a CPM MagnaCut steel blade with a stonewash or OldBlack finish.
The safety crossbar is reinforced with a hardened steel liner, and the opening and closing motions feature the IKBS ball bearing system.
The blade is equipped with the REF (Removable flipper) system, so if you don't want the flipper, you can use the T6 torx tool to unscrew the flipper and insert the second screw that you find in the box, which fits perfectly into the hole at the bottom of the blade.
The Skinny, designed by Molletta, features a steel clip that can be adjusted on either side of the frame using the "U-tool" included in the box.

LionSteel was founded in 1969 in Maniago, where knife making is as traditional as in Solingen, Germany. It was founded by Mr. Gino Pauletta, and was mainly focused on contract manufacturing of knives from other manufacturers. A few years later, the company produced the first knives of its own design, thus creating the LionSTEEL brand. The name of the factory is given by the stone statue of a lion standing in front of the building and the material from which the knives are made.
At the end of the 1990s, the founder's three sons, John Daniel and Maximus, join the work. At that time, the company made a great leap in quality with the introduction of digital machine control.
At this time the company has fifteen employees and sells its products not only in Europe but also in the USA. It focuses on the production of knives of the highest quality. The company's philosophy is to supply knives made exclusively in Italy. None of the knives or their components are made in Asia.
