Product detailed description
The lionSTEEL-Emerson ONE is a new karambit developed in collaboration with Emerson Design.
The solid frame-lock handle, already a lionSTEEL hallmark, is milled from a solid piece of Ergal aluminum available in black, red, green or earthy brown, while the blade is made from CPM MagnaCut steel. Other built-in features enhance comfort and safety when using the knife, allowing the end user to choose how the knife is used. REF (REmovable Flipper system): this feature allows you to choose the way you use the knife, if you don't want the flipper, you can unscrew it with a torx tool and put on a second "cover" screw that fits perfectly into the hole at the bottom of the blade. Ernest Emerson created the Emerson Wave Feature when he discovered that the knife, when moved properly, would open itself when pulled from the pocket. This feature allows the knife to open literally as you pull it out of your pocket, faster than an automatic.

LionSteel was founded in 1969 in Maniago, where knife making is as traditional as in Solingen, Germany. It was founded by Mr. Gino Pauletta, and was mainly focused on contract manufacturing of knives from other manufacturers. A few years later, the company produced the first knives of its own design, thus creating the LionSTEEL brand. The name of the factory is given by the stone statue of a lion standing in front of the building and the material from which the knives are made.
At the end of the 1990s, the founder's three sons, John Daniel and Maximus, join the work. At that time, the company made a great leap in quality with the introduction of digital machine control.
At this time the company has fifteen employees and sells its products not only in Europe but also in the USA. It focuses on the production of knives of the highest quality. The company's philosophy is to supply knives made exclusively in Italy. None of the knives or their components are made in Asia.
