Product detailed description
After the overwhelming success of our first LEO Damascene release, we are very happy to have the next development of an extraordinary Damascene steel that meets the high demands of enthusiasts. Our blacksmith Markus Balbach has reached the limits of the art of blacksmithing. The steel for the barrel of the German Leopard I battle tank is made of very fine cylindrical bearing steel A very strong material with a large amount of carbon, making it very difficult to work with. The hardening temperature of both steels is identical, so it creates a perfect harmony in the alloy. The consistent sharpness of the Damascene edge is much higher than that provided by most of today's better steels. This new high-end Damascene steel has achieved a Rockwell hardness of 65-67 HRc. Damascene designs are what are known as "large pyramids". The CNC machined AlMg3 hard-coated aluminum handle and the select inlay of ziricote (wood) create an exclusive and attractive combination. The holder can be mounted in two positions (blade up, blade down). Comes in a premium collector's box including a certificate of authenticity. 22,5 cm in total. Blade 9,6 cm. Weight 155 g.Additional parameters

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
