Detailed information

Product detailed description

In the design of the Böker Plus Kihon Assisted OD Green knife, American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of the Japanese kihon. The term Kihon encompasses the foundations and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts in connection with the symbiosis of man's living with nature. The fittings and simple design testify to high practicality and give the knife an ideal basis for everyday cutting. The D2 Harpoon blade has a dark Stonewash finish and opens with a spring loaded flipper or thumb stud. The stainless steel frame lock, also with a dark stonewash finish, reliably secures the blade and also features a Hinderer Lock-Stop safety. The non-slip handle is coated with G10 texture on the front and fits comfortably in the hand. Gold anodized rings around the blade axis screw and handle screw are decorative accents. With lanyard loop, clip (tip-up/r).

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
