Product detailed description
Böker Plus Kaizen takes the deeply rooted approaches of Far Eastern philosophy and brings their core ideas from the spiritual to the material plane. The Japanese term Kaizen is composed of the syllables Kai (change, to change) and Zen (for the better) and describes a constant striving for improvement. Perfection becomes a temporary phenomenon and is merely an intermediate step in a continuous process of change. The Böker Plus Kaizen responds to the spirit of the times as an elegant knife for gentlemen and convinces with its thoughtful attention to detail.
Modesty as a sign of true greatness is perfectly embodied by the minimalist flipper, which almost blends in visually with the slim knife, yet is highly functional thanks to the grooves. The satin-finished D2 blade handles everyday cutting with stoic calm and always finds its way back to its centre thanks to the reliable safety. The decorative screw of the blade axis is the visual starting point of the Gentleman folder as a symbol of shape change and function. The textured handle made of non-slip G10 material fits comfortably in the hand and features a practical clip for deep carry (tip-up/r).

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
