U1 Elmax - Desert Ironwood
This closing knife is a bit special - thanks to Elmax steel, it combines modern steel technology with a century-old, closing knife design. The U1 model lacks a blade lock. This means that in many countries it will most likely be considered a pocket knife and therefore allowed to be carried in public places. Instead, the blade is held in place by a spring-loaded steel lip, a technique used for over 100 years to ensure that the blade does not tip. The blade is made from Swedish Elmax powder coated steel, and this ensures superior edge retention. The handle is made of stainless steel inserts with sides of beautiful desert ironwood. The nail notches on both sides of the blade's spine make the knife completely symmetrical and equally easy to handle for left and right-handed users.
The knife comes with a black cordura slimfit sheath.
