Resolza is an ancient name that recalls the Italian word for razor. The centuries-old Sardinian knife "resolza" is one of the most famous traditional knives in Italy - to this day it is a constant companion of the island's farmers and shepherds in their daily work.
It accompanied them even when they were called to war: the chronicles of the Sassari Brigade during the First World War mention the knife as part of the soldiers' equipment.
Extrema Ratio's attempt to return to this traditional design by its own standards is meant to be a tribute, not a disregard, to the Sardinian artisans who still practice the old ways of knife making and keep the ancestral traditions alive.
This knife retains its original dimensions and proportions, with a 3.9" (10 cm) blade, but is made with the usual high-end materials and Extrema Ratio technology.
The handle has been redesigned, while the blade more closely resembles the traditional shape. As an improvement on tradition, the manufacturer has added a blade lock mechanism.
